Training and Development Courses: Delegates will be invoiced prior to attending courses and course fees must be paid in full two weeks before the course is due to take place.
Anti Virus Email Accounts are paid for monthly in advance by standing order from a bank account or on a credit card. Late and fialied payment may result in the account being frozen until it is brought up to date.
Websites within the Cumbria Business Portal: Membership fees for the Cumbria Business Portal and due on the production of an invoice from the company and should be paid immediately.
Website design and development: Clients who wish to have bespoke design and development for their websites will be subject to a separate contract detailing work, charges and payment schedule.
Consultancy and Project Management: Will be charged at the rate applicable between the range of rates chargeable and subject to the degree of difficulty/expertise required on individual projects.
Hourly Rates: For general consultancy, Charges range from £30:00 per man hour subject to the expertise required, availability and type of project. (One man day is calculated as eight hours), plus VAT, and other costs as applicable.
Travel Time: Where travel is involved time spent travelling to venues to perform duties will be charged at half the normal applicable rate unless otherwise negotiated.
Day Rates: The standard Consultant Day Rate is £520:00 (Five hundred and twenty pounds) and is based on an eight hour working day, however this can vary depending on the experience and expertise required. The Company will be happy to advise you on applicable rates for projects on request.
Fixed Price Contracts: For projects where it may be possible to define a more detailed scope of work in advance, the Company are prepared to enter into discussions with the Client with a view to submitting a fixed price for the contract.
Mileage Travel Allowance: Mileage allowance will be charged at the rate of 40 pence per mile.
Subsistence: Where an overnight stay is necessary a charge will be made unless the cost is covered by the client directly.
Manufactured Products: Bespoke software and other products are priced separately and subject to separate licensing agreements which are available on request.
Training Materials and Expertise: All training materials, methodologies and processes designed by Artemis Media remain the property of Artemis Media and use by third parties is only allowable with express written permission from the company and charges may be levied for such use in the form of agreements and licenses. These are negotiable at the time of order and should a third party use such materials without permission or any form of agency or license agreement the company will have the right to charge what it considers to be a fair price.
Terms of payment: Upon receipt of the Company's invoice, the Client shall immediately remit to the Company the amount due to it as shown on the invoice. Subject to prior agreement, a Client may negotiate a credit account with the Company. Credit accounts operate on a strict 14 or 28 days payment. Ongoing Work will be invoiced on a weekly basis and due accourdingly.
Late Payment: If the Client Company fails to pay the Consultant/Company invoice on the due date the consultant/company shall be entitled to;
(i) charge interest on the outstanding amount at the rate of 8% per annum above the consultant bankers base rate accruing daily;
(ii) decline to provide any further services under the contract until payment has been received in full of any amounts outstanding without thereby incurring any liability whatsoever to the client;
(iii) terminate the agreement if the delay in payment exceeds thirty days.
Value Added Tax where applicable shall be added to the contract price as a strictly net extra charge.
Ownership and Title:
a) (Where ownership is passed to the client) Ownership and title (including copyright & design rights) to articles supplied by the company including bespoke software, reports, and publications remain the property of Artemis Media until invoices are settled in full.
b) (Where ownership rests with Artemis Media) Ownership and title will always rest with Artemis Media and licenses or user agreements can be negotiated. Typically this would apply to Website Templates and designs, software, training courses, books and publications, networks, methodologies and any other product/service designed by Artemis Media.
c) Intellectual Property as a result of the use of the company's service/materials/introductions. The company reserves the right to ideas, software, and other intellectual property which may result from an introduction or the performance of tasks by the company or client or partner organisations in the performance of their duties, unless otherwise agreed in writing before hand.
Changes: The Company reserves the right to vary its charges from time to time without prior notice
Web Sites: Website content parameters. Each of the pages in your website may contain pictures and descriptive text up to a sensible amount that will allow the page to load effectively over a low bandwidth connection, if you require advice on this, please ask. In general we advise clients that the maximum number of pages is 250 (excluding the ecommerce catalogue) and 1000 images (optimized to load quickly but whilst retaining good image quality.
Ongoing and future amendments The majority of our customers learn to easily update their own websites using the content management system and this obviously is free of charge, however, we are happy to carry out any basic changes to text, such as replacement of a paragraph, altering phone numbers, etc. free of charge where a customer needs assistance but only on the basis that this service is not abused; if changes are regular or complex and the client then a charge will be quoted prior to completion of any work. If whole new pages or graphics need to be added to the site and the client is unable to do the work themselves (due to pressure of work etc) then an additional charge will apply. The amount charged will depend on the complexity of what is required. Additional work is invoiced on a weekly basis, this helps you to keep a control of costs and it makes our administration easier.
Hosting: The site will be hosted in our purpose built facility in Blackburn where we have very reliable redundant connectivity directly to the Internet backbone. We can give you full details on security, connectivity, etc. on request.
Name registration; We will register an available UK domain name on your behalf as part of your portal membership, the costs for additional domain names to redirect to your site are available on application.
