What do I get in an Audit?

Level 1/A audit:

• Once we have carried out an audit we will provide you with a report which will either pass or fail your site.
• If your site passes, the report will give you clearance at Priority 1/Level A (the minimum standard) and you will be able to display our level 1 accreditation logo on your site.

• If your website fails to meet the requirements of the standard the report we provide will identify the problems areas and signpost what you must change to meet the legislative requirements at Web Care 1; WAI A or Bobby 1

Level 2/AA audit:

• Once we have carried out an audit we will provide you with a report which will either pass or fail your site.
• If your site passes, the report will give you clearance at level 2 (the Intermediate standard) and you will be able to display your level 2 accreditation logo on your site. Your site must meet the requirements for Level 1/A and all requirements for Level 2/AA to pass.
• If your website fails to meet the requirements of the standard the report we provide will identify the problems areas and signpost what you must change to meet the legislative requirements at Web Care 2; WAI AA or Bobby 2

Level 3/AAA audit:

• Once we have carried out an audit we will provide you with a report which will either pass or fail your site.
• If your site passes, the report will give you clearance at level 3 (Currently the highest standard) and you will be able to display your level 3 accreditation logo on your website. Your site must meet the requirements for Level 1/A, Level 2/AA and all requirements for Level 3/AAA to pass.
• If your website fails to meet the requirements of the standard the report we provide will identify the problems areas and signpost what you must change to meet the legislative requirements at Web Care 3; WAI AAA or Bobby 3.

What happens when you have completed the necessary changes to make your site legal?

• Following an audit many clients prefer us to carry out any necessary changes to make the website compliant – Where this is the case there is no charge for resubmitting or retesting your website. On completion your site will be awarded the appropriate Accreditation logo.

• If you have made the changes to your site yourself or your web developer has made the changes in accordance with the audit - simply re-submit the site for testing again and we will check it and verify compliance; if you pass the re-test we will award our certification logo for you to display on your site. Remember: - Complying with the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 is not only a legal requirement it’s a superb marketing tool and it tells all your visitors that you care!
